Panfilo "Ping" M. Lacson. "I have not given it a thought. In my sphere we are working on the presidency of Sen. Ping Lacson," Sotto said at the CNN Philippines Vice Presidential Debates, when asked about the possibility of him and Marcos winning the May 9 elections. He also maintained that if he and Lacson will be elected, they will use their more than 80 years in public service to address the humongous problems facing the country. Ping: 'Fat-Free' Na Badyet, Mahalaga sa Pagbangon Mula sa Pandemya

Image
"Thank you, NEDA. This is what I’ve always been saying during budget deliberations. With a yearly average of P328B UNUSED appropriations for the past 10 years (2010-2020) and P700B in MISUSED/ABUSED budget each year, there couldn’t be a better advice," ani Lacson, na tumatakbo sa pagka-Presidente sa ilalim ng Partido Reporma,  sa kanyang Twitter account  nitong Biyernes.

Sen Lacson's Opening Statement on the Investigation into Missing Persons Linked to Sabong, E-Sabong

Image
February 24, 2022 Sen Lacson's Opening Statement on the Investigation into Missing Persons Linked to Sabong, E-Sabong As your Vice Chairman and erstwhile Chairman of the Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, I have a very brief statement to make. Thirty-one reported missing persons as of latest count, without any trace apparently, is a big challenge to the PNP and the entire law enforcement community. Failing to resolve these cases will be a big slap or an embarrassment to the PNP as well. So I hope this legislative inquiry can help resolve the issue at hand. With that thank you very much for the opportunity to make that statement. *****

Ping: 'Positive' Government Intervention, Kailangan Para Maiahon ang MSMEs sa Pandemya

Image

Comment of former LTO chief Mar Santiago’67 on Sen. Ping’s PMA LAAward as posted in another chat group..

Image
Comment of former LTO chief Mar Santiago’67 on Sen. Ping’s PMA LAAward as posted in another chat group The PMAAAI has given the Life Achievement Award to one of its more prominent alumni, among other awardees.  Sen. Ping Lacson, in his acceptance speech, has given back the accolade to his, our Alma Mater, the PMA. The assumption is that the alumni community are one in giving him the recognition for his more than fifty years of outstanding service and leadership. If you believe that we are special and, in fact, especially trained to lead with Courage, Integrity and Loyalty and to give meaning to that recognition, I urge every alumnus and alumna of the Academy, and those who have gone to the portals of Fort Del Pilar, to support him for President.  There is hope. We do not go for the survey-perceived winners. WE MAKE WINNERS!

Inangkin, ginatasan: Imee used ABS-CBN as her personal kitty during Marcos years – PSE president Ramon Monzon Not only did then President Ferdinand Marcos wrest control of ABS-CBN away from the Lopezes, his daughter, now Senator Imee Marcos, pilfered the network’s funds to buy her stuff. This was contained in the “missing” affidavit of former SGV & Co. partner and self-confessed Imee “dummy” Ramon Monzon given to the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) supposedly as part of his 1987 immunity deal. The 68-year old Monzon, who is now president of the Philippine Stock Exchange, was recruited in 1984 by then husband of Imee, Tommy Manotoc, to manage not only ABS-CBN (Banahaw Broadcasting Corp. or BBC Channel 2) but also RPN-9 and IBC-13. “Monzon testified that he was of the impression that the networks were owned by Roberto Benedicto because all the checks were sent to his office and signed by him. Later on, Imee Maros started giving orders,” according to the August...

Image
"Thank you President Rodrigo Duterte for this. Being an author/sponsor of the measure in the Senate and a longtime advocate of the National ID system like you, I support you unequivocally in this regard," ani Lacson  sa kanyang Twitter account  nitong Miyerkules.

He authored many laws like the National ID Law, Anti-Red Tape Act, the Free Irrigation Law, etc. He gave this writer an exclusive one-hour interview. Here are excerpts: PHILIPPINE STAR: What are the secrets of your youthfulness? How come you’re almost the same age as President Duterte but you look younger? Hindi lingid sa kaalaman mo na  from 2001 since I left the PNP as chief  hanggang  2010 , hanggang umalis na si  Pangulong Arroyo . Wala na sa akin ‘yon,  but ...

Lacson thumbs down Martial law

Image
Lacson thumbs down Martial law Mawab, Davao de Oro—Partido Reporma standard-bearer Panfilo “Ping” Lacson assured Filipinos democracy will be preserved and protected under his administration as he rejected outright concerns about bringing back the dark days of Martial law. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his campaign rally at the Lorenzo National High School here, Saturday, Lacson said imposing military rule or going the authoritarian route has never crossed his mind “No. Definitely, democracy will be preserved. No Martial law, no dictatorship,” he said. The presidential aspirant explained that the 1987 Philippine Constitution, which was enacted after the fall of the Marcos dictatorship, already established certain guidelines on when to declare martial law that has essentially made it almost a non-option. “It can only last for 60 days and it has to be validated by Congress. Also, the Bill of Rights is well-entrenched. It won’t be touched. You cannot arrest just anyone ev...

Lacson says R&D, irrigation will improve Mindanao’s agriculture sector

Image
Lacson says R&D, irrigation will improve Mindanao’s agriculture sector Presidential candidate Senator Panfilo Lacson on Saturday, Feb. 12 said that a Lacson presidency would seek to improve Mindanao’s agriculture sector through research and development (R&D) and irrigation. After staging rallies in Davao del Norte in southern Mindanao yesterday, Lacson told DZRH radio that his specific agenda for Mindanao, dubbed as the country’s “food basket”, is agriculture. Lacson said the implementation of his Free Irrigation Act should be followed up as the country has more than one million hectares still in need of irrigation. This should be supported by a strong R&D that would also focus on the banana industry as plantations face potential pests.
