Lacson vows to push more equitable national funding for LGU’s Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson has renewed his push for local government units (LGUs) to get a more equitable share of the national budget so they can fund their own development programs. Lacson, who has launched his presidential bid in the upcoming May 2022 elections, made the pitch during his visit to Davao del Norte, where he and Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III received a warm welcome from officials of Partido Reporma, headed by former House Speaker and Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez, the party president. Over the weekend, Lacson and Sotto visited Davao del Norte as incumbent officials took their oaths as members of Partido Reporma.
