Lacson expresses gratitude to BRAVE MOVERS, assures commitment to supporters
Expressing his gratitude for all their hard work, Partido Reporma chairman and standard-bearer Panfilo “Ping” Lacson has assured his commitment to the BRAVE MOVERS group and prayed for their safety and well-being amid the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters like the recent Typhoon Odette.
In a message to the party’s grassroots campaigners supporting his bid for the presidency in the May 9 elections, Lacson said he constantly saw the efforts of the team to spread Partido Reporma’s advocacies and win more hearts and minds toward their shared goal of building a better country.
BRAVE MOVERS is the nationwide group promoting the longtime public servant’s centerpiece Budget Reform Advocacy for Village Empowerment program, which would solve many of the country’s problems by shifting the power of the purse away from the national government back to local government units.
[I want you to know that I always see night and day, through our Viber chat group, all your tireless efforts to move and help us achieve victory on May 9, 2022, and thus truly serve our motherland.]
The three-term senator lauded the BRAVE MOVERS for going to the ends of the islands and villages across the archipelago to distribute posters, tarpaulins, shirts, face masks and other items of the Lacson-Sotto tandem, which was the first to declare their candidacy for this year’s national elections.
Lacson, who is running for President a second time with Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III as his vice-presidential running mate, also thanked the group for arranging dialogues with Filipinos from all walks of life – from the mayors to the barangay captains as well as the market vendors and the typical Filipino in their own homes – about their BRAVE advocacy.
[I may not be able to repay personally and thank each of you for all of your sacrifices – perhaps not for me, but I am sure for our countrymen, especially our children and grandchildren and the next generation – the one thing I can do… is give all of you my deepest commitment to never let you down if God wills to choose me to serve for the next six years (as President).]
He also assured the BRAVE MOVERS that if anyone needed help to deal with a disaster or the effects of COVID-19 amid the current Omicron variant surge in the country, his team was ready to assist them in any way, as Lacson himself is coming off a bout with the coronavirus that forced him into isolation over the last two weeks.
Lacson added.
[In doing your rounds and your daily interactions with the people, let’s pray for each other to be safe from the pandemic or whatever disaster. May God guide us all!]
