Lacson: ‘Palakasan’ system must stop after ‘Poblacion Girl’ incident
Senate President Vicente C. Sotto is under a self-quarantine mode since January 1 after being exposed to a person positive of COVID-19 infection.
Bulletin learned that Sotto and members of his family underwent RT-PCR tests on Wednesday, Jan. 5.
A day earlier, presidential aspirant Senator Panfilo ‘’Ping’’ M. Lacson quarantined himself after learning that his son, a maid and a driver were COVID-19 positive.
Result of Lacson’s RT-PCR test taken Tuesday is still not known.
Sotto is the running mate of Lacson in the May 2022 presidential election.
in a related development, Partido Reporma party president and Davao del Norte Representative Pantaleon ‘’Bebot’’ Alvarez advised Lacson to get rest, recover after getting exposed to COVID-19.
‘’Actually, I already texted Senator Ping because we have a scheduled activity here in the province on January 10. But it would be very risky (for him to travel) because he was exposed to a COVID-positive (patient), so I told him to recover and just rest for the meantime,’’ Alvarez pointed out.
Lacson, Partido Reporma chairman, did not leave their residence since yesterday while waiting for his own test results and immediately advised everyone he came in contact with to monitor themselves and be cautious.
When asked how Lacson’s isolation would affect the activities of their political party, Alvarez said their ground works would continue as they keep adjusting to the situation to help improve the numbers of their standard-bearer.
